Note 2: As you defeat bosses in your New Game+ runs, acquiring copies of their shards will upgrade the existing ones to further increase their impact.Editor’s Note: We’re still continuing to discover bosses as we explore more of The Lands Between, so be sure to check back soon. It is possible that you will be teleported close to a boss just as they are about to deliver a fatal blow. Note 1: One shard I tend to avoid is Singularity Orb because the teleportation effect can be damaging at times. Leafstorm node: Wild Hunt – +40% Stormleaf damage, but 10% of your max HP is lost when they hit.Windslip Knot: Lightbringer – Increases windslide speed and a beam of light follows you, dealing damage and also increasing your movement speed.Dash: Winter Fangs – If you successfully dodge attacks, your next dash will cost no stamina within 1.5 seconds.Charged Attack: Lunar Inspiration – Generate and empower a shield every three Charged Attacks.Bloodburst: Corrupted Griff – Corruption forms on the ground to damage enemies and heal you.Active Shard (Right Trigger): Boon of the United – A powerful attack that costs HP, or an emergency heal if I’m low on HP.Here are my preferences again with Windslide – Razor Leaf/Leafstorm in mind: These are just the effects these shards have in common when you plug them into different nodes, although there are more specifics. Drakmur: Singularity Orb – Focuses on teleportation.Aryana: Lunar Inspiration – Grants shields.Deer God/Guardian of Purity: Wild Hunt – Provides boons and also deals damage to you.Hyem: Winter Fangs – Inflicts Icicles and Frost attacks.Eos: United’s Blessing – damage increase at the cost of health when over 50% HP Heals and restores stamina when below 50% HP.Azikel: Lightbringer – Throws beams of pure light and speeds up movement.Guardian: Corrupted Grasp – Generates trails or tendrils of corruption. The following bosses in Eldest Souls Drop Shards: Additionally, by plugging them into the nodes in the Combat Style section, you will get unique effects for that particular skill. If you really want to get the full benefits of your chosen fighting style, you’ll need to defeat bosses in subsequent New Game+ runs. However, as you progress, you will find that grappling becomes more expensive. Note: In terms of skill points, every boss is included Eldest Souls grants a skill point. ![]() I rarely worried about healing as passives and auras took care of that for me, although I still had to watch out for extremely damaging hits from bosses. Additionally, there are certain perks that can be used to heal you (e.g. The Wind Aura creates a field that damages nearby enemies, and the Razor Leaf creates projectiles that target. Windslide combines mobility buffs, AoE damage, and passive DPS. Counter, on the other hand, was too technical for my taste. ![]() Berserker Slash is too risky, too high rewards, so mistakes can be very punishing. It’s just my personal preference as it really helped me get through several boss fights in my playthrough. I personally think Windslide is the best though. You can only have one combat style active at a time, although you can change your build at any time. You’ll notice the three fighting styles: Windslide, Berserker Slash, and Counter. Let’s talk about that first Eldest Souls‘ Skills panel.
